A Wonderful Antique 17th Century European Match-Lock or Wheel-Lock Powder Flask, (most likely Saxon/German).Ā This form of powder flask was used by musketeers throughout Europe.Ā Formed of flattened horn with decorative engraving and marked with an "R" arsenals mark.Ā All original steel parts. Measures; 13.5" overall length.Ā In good working order.Ā An excellent powder flask that is becoming harder and harder to find.
Note; the spout gate cover has broken off.Ā This can be repaired.
