Ā Each pistol bucket has provisions to hold (4) pre-measured paper cartridges for a total of (8) cartridges at the ready and each measures 13" to the tip. Ā Brass end caps with decorative finials. Ā The leather has areas of crazing, flaking and loses but stable. Ā These saddle holsters are considered very rare because of the materials they are made of and the survival rate is very low.
Note; Almost every person of the day had a horse (if they could afford it) and would have a saddle with a pair of saddle holsters for pistols for protection or for military use.
